Feedback: After another long break from training, I am back with quite a long run. 14 kilometers in total, just short of 600 meters from my record thus far. The fact that the temperature had dropped drastically since this Monday, probably has helped my run.
Didn't feel as tired as before, and the thigh muscle pain isn't as much as how it used to be even after I ran pass the 10km mark. One possibility might be the long break, hence the muscles get to rest more. However, one main concern is the continuous pain on my right ankle throughout the run. That is the only thing that bothers me now.
Overall, it was another good run, as I was literally sprinting over the final kilometer.

Feedback: After a long break from training, I am back. Glad that my pace didn't drop much, in fact it was one of the best pace I have ran so far. Completed the first 10km in 59:12 and ran 10.12km in the first hour. One thing I'm quite concerned is that I felt the leg muscle pain around the 5th km. Gotta find out how to combat this, especially the top section above the fibula.
Overall, it was quite a good run. Gotta stack up more kms after this as it is just 30 days to go before the big day!

Rest day
Second day at Kinugawa Onsen and we headed to Nikko. The bus ride from Kinugawa Onsen to Nikko, which usually takes about one hour was extended to more than two hours due to the heavy traffic. Weather was unfortunately bad when we visited Chuzenji Lake and Kegon Fall (cancelled). Late afternoon, we visited the Toshogu Shrine and headed back to Tokyo. Went out to drink with Yuya at night after reaching Tokyo.

Feedback: Was contemplating whether or not to run today, as it was already past seven when I reached home. However, I knew once there's a gap in between, I will find it hard to return to training, hence I pulled my body to have a short run this evening. Just one lap around the south course, which is becoming my favourite course now. Overall, it was a good one, though the slight pain on the ankle is still there.
Had a double lap at Shinkoiwa Park at the end of the run, in a fast pace. Was literally sprinting during those two laps, which improved my overall average speed actually. Starting to feel that my body is getting use to the 6:10 to 6:25 min/km pace, which I hope I can maintain throughout the whole 42.195 km.

Average speed: 06:08min/kmFeedback: It was a day many records were broken today. First of all I managed to finished up the first ten kilometers under an hour. Well it was really close (59:45) as I pushed quite hard in the last 300 meters or so. And my distance for the first hour was 10.04km. Not bad I thought. In fact my pace was under 6min/km until the end of the 11th km. Unfortunately my pace slowly dropped from that onwards, but at the end of the almost 15km run, I still managed to keep it under 6:30min/km.
My only worry was my thigh muscle began to feel painful in the last kilometer. It was during that time I wish I get to put on some magic spray. Quite happy for clocking another record distance today, after skipping my training for three consecutive days.

Feedback: Made a huge technical mistake today, as I mistakenly paused the time recorder around the 3.5km. Only realised it a kilometer later as there wasn't any notification at all for a while. Was kinda pissed off with my carelessness that it made me feel like stopping my training straight away. Nevertheless, continue my run until the end.
Overall, the run was good. Compared to the previous day when I struggled in the first kilometer, it wasn't that bad during today. The only concern is the continued pain around the ankle area. Not sure why, but the pain usually start after the first kilometer. It is still bearable, but for a long distance during the race, I have some worries. Perhaps the magic spray will be able to to the trick. By the way, I just realised that Runkeeper records the course we run as well. I am so in love with this great apps now haha!

Feedback: The first kilometer was like hell. Felt like stopping after running the first kilometer, but once I got over that distance, the body felt great and managed to maintain a good pace of around 6:30 min/km. If I can maintain this pace throughout the race, I should be able to finish the race in 4h 30m. The climb was a bit tough today, not sure why though. Decided to push myself from the initial 5km and ended up doing more than 7km today. Got a felling that body is starting to get used to this distance. The next step is to maintain the pace and distance, and at the same time slowly increase my body strength.

Feedback: A rather slow run today. Ran with my new pair of New Balance running shoes I got in the afternoon. Was split for choices between NB and Nike, but although Nike weighs slightly lighter, the cushion for NB is thicker, which proportionally makes it heavier than Nike. However, the fitting is better than Nike, hence it was an easy choice to make.
Also ran with my new pair of tights, but too bad can't bring along my phone. Hence, no tracking done with Runkeeper. The stats today was just a rough estimation. Overall run was good. Tomorrow should be a rest day but might do another 5km, if time allows.
Started to feel that this south course is the best, with some slopes which provide a good practice for the killer stretch along the Aqua Line.
